The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has urged UK organisations to bolster their cyber security defences amid Russia’s threat to Ukraine. This follows a series of cyber security breaches in Ukraine, which are suspected to have come from Russia – although have been denied by Moscow.

In 2017 a ransomware attack was conducted on software for file tax returns in Ukraine, which quickly span out of control and ended with many UK businesses finding their operations down, proving disastrous and creating downtime for many.
