Our East Lancashire Hospice 2019 Corporate Challenge Has Begun
It’s time for the East Lancashire Hospice 2019 Corporate Challenge, when the region’s business community compete to raise vital funding. This year, Nybble are leaping in feet first – literally.
Last year, Nybble were fortunate enough to be the largest fundraiser, donating just short of £10,000 to the charity. Collecting the winner’s trophy was a highlight for all of us as a team and testament to the generosity of our clients, family and friends.
A Vital Service
The hospice relies heavily on donations to keep the doors open for this vital service to the community. Having to raise over 2 million pounds each year is no mean feat and the region’s businesses coming together to help, is a huge part of the fundraising effort each year.
Please help if you can. Just the price of a coffee from Starbucks adds to the pot and is greatly appreciated. You can make a donation on our Go Fund Me page.
Our efforts last year resulted in exposure on both the BBC and ITV evening news as well as local and national radio, as we equipped the Hospice with cutting-edge virtual reality kits, allowing hospice guests to travel the world from a comfy armchair or bed.
Jive Talking
This year we are kicking off… or should we say strutting off, our 2019 corporate challenge events by sending owner and Managing Director, Ram Gupta and his wife Nidhi to take part in the Strictly Come Dancing competition. They have elected to do the jive and are currently undertaking lessons so that they can dazzle us with their nifty footwork.
This is the first event of its kind for the hospice and we are willing our star performers on, to hopefully win and waltz away with the glitterball trophy…
At time of writing, I know that Ram is thoroughly looking forward to the challenge and has been practising hard on his routine…
After leaping out of a plane last year despite a fear of heights, we are sure Ram joined by wife Nidhi, can delight the judges and pull off those perfect scores! All that’s left to say is erm…break a leg 🙂
And yes…Jen will let you keep the feather boa Ram – if you win.
Please donate if you can and thank you again to all who supported us last year.
